The site is a campus of 8 separate buildings, which students and staff move between throughout the day. For the safety of all, we do not allow vehicle movement.
Parents must not drive onto the school site between 8.10am and 3.50pm, except in emergencies (eg., if school contacts you to say that a pupil has been taken ill and needs to go home).
If you are attending for a meeting during the above times, or if you wish to visit school for other reasons, please use the public car park nearby on Rock Street. Please consider our neighbours and refrain from parking in residents only car parking areas or on double yellow lines.

16-18 year olds ‘Our Pass’
Our Pass is the new bus pass for 16-18-year-olds. For a one-off £10 administration fee, it unlocks free bus travel right across Greater Manchester – meaning that young people could unlock potential savings of over £500.
For further details please see Our Pass
The portal for yellow school bus applications will open on 1st June and will close on 30th June.
TFGM will then re-open the portal on 1stAugust for any services that have spare capacity following their initial allocation.
All students must apply for a pass each year as they are not automatically renewed. It is important that passes are applied for as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
If you have any queries regarding yellow school bus passes, please contact TFGM on 0161 244 1000. Please do not contact the school.
We have been advised by Transport for Greater Manchester that from the start of the 2019/2020 academic year, school bus fares will increase in line with inflation as follows:
|Fare Type||Old (£)||New (£)|
|Child Single (IGO)||1.35||1.40|
|Child Single (no IGO)||1.75||1.80|
Pupils will need an IGO card which costs £10 and lasts until 31st August after their 16th birthday. The card allows 11-16 year olds to travel using child tickets on buses and trams in Greater Manchester. Pupils who catch the Y47 service will also need a yellow school bus pass. Application forms for these passes can be downloaded from www.tfgm.com
Please note that as from September 2019, the Y23 service is to be re-numbered 823, so pupils will no longer require a yellow school bus pass for this service. An IGO pass will still be required and these can be obtained by downloading an application from the TFGM website.
We have been notified by Transport for Greater Manchester that from 2nd January 2019, they will no longer be selling 7 day and 28 day anybus travelcards as a paper ticket. Pupils will need to ensure that they have an igo card which is smart enabled they will then use this card to load their travelcards directly.
Pupils who buy System One/Get Me There Travelcards currently use their igo pass solely for ID, but from January they will need this card each time they purchase a ticket.
